Leduc County is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Light Equipment Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Area Foreman, this exciting opportunity provides various laborer duties, operates light equipment to support roads maintenance, and is a key contributor to the achievement of the department’s operational deliverables.

Physical labour comes naturally to you and you can easily lift and carry up to 70 lbs when needed and perform tasks that require repetitive squatting, kneeling and twisting. Class 5 Alberta Driver’s license with trailer towing experience and the knowledge and ability to operate and maintain equipment, and general mechanical abilities. Completion of high school diploma is preferred.
A Class 3 license and experience running heavy equipment (i.e. wheel-loader, track or loader backhoe, or grader) and familiarity with County operations and knowledge of rural communities are assets.

We offer a competitive hourly salary of between $23.03 - $28.79 municipal pension plan, three-weeks vacation allocation, and an employer-paid comprehensive benefits package.
The opportunity reports to our Nisku Shop, it is permanent full- time and is 40 hours per week scheduled Monday to Friday, with some extended hours to meet operational requirements.
